- 4 tablespoons butter melted
- 1 (28-ounce) can peaches undrained
- 3 cups sugar divided
- 1 1/4 cups water divided
- 1 heaping tablespoon cornstarch
- 1 1/2 cups self-rising flour
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
- vanilla ice cream optional, to taste, for serving

- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Pour the melted butter in a 9x13-inch baking dish, evenly coating the bottom and the sides.
- In a medium saucepan over medium heat, add the peaches and their juices.
- Add 1 cup of the sugar and 1/2 cup of the water to the peaches and bring to a simmer.
