Recipe Background

Glazed pork chops with a sweet and savory aroma—tender and juicy texture.
These First-Class Pork Chops bring an inviting balance of sweet, salty, and umami flavors to your table. The combination of honey and soy sauce creates a savory glaze that lingers on the palate, while ketchup offers a subtle tang that harmonizes beautifully. As the chops broil, the aroma of garlic wafts through the kitchen, making each moment of anticipation worthwhile.
Texture is key here—each bite is tender and juicy with a glossy, caramelized coating that catches the light. Lightly seasoning the pork chops with salt and pepper before applying the glaze ensures the foundational flavors shine through. Basting consistently as they cook helps create a rich lacquer that’s pleasantly sticky around the edges.
Sharing these with family or friends transforms a regular dinner into a memorable occasion. The broiler does its magic, turning simple ingredients into something elevated yet approachable. Once out of the oven, let the pork chops rest briefly for the juices to redistribute. This small pause makes slices cleaner and enhances the overall taste experience.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup ketchup
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 1/2 pounds boneless pork chops 6 4-ounce portions
  • salt to taste

Directions

  • Adjust the oven rack to the middle position.
  • Preheat the broiler on high.
  • Spray a broiler pan with a tray or a baking dish with cooking spray.

  • Lightly season the pork chops on both sides with the salt and the pepper.
  • Brush each chop with the glaze mixture on both sides.
