Ingredients
- 1 cup all-purpose flour sifted
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 cup walnuts chopped
- 1 cup brown sugar packed
- 1/3 cup butter melted
- 1 large egg beaten
- 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
- 2/3 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Directions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
- Grease a 9x9-inch baking pan.
- Sift the flour, the baking powder, the salt, and the baking soda in a medium bowl.
- Stir the walnuts into the flour mixture.
- In a large bowl, mix the brown sugar and the melted butter until they are combined, then allow the mixture to cool slightly.
- Stir the beaten egg and the vanilla into the brown sugar mixture.
- Add the flour mixture, a little at a time, to the brown sugar mixture and mix until they are just combined.
