Ingredients
- 3 pounds ground beef
- 1/2 cup onion chopped
- 1 (24-ounce) jar pasta sauce
- 2 (4.5-ounce) jars sliced mushrooms drained
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- pepper to taste
- 1 (16-ounce) package wide egg noodles cooked and drained
- 2 (3.5-ounce) packages sliced pepperoni
- 2 cups cheddar cheese shredded
- 2 cups part-skim mozzarella cheese shredded
Directions
- In a Dutch oven, brown the beef and the onions over medium heat until the meat is no longer pink, about 5-7 minutes.
- Crumble the beef and drain the fat from the pot.
- Add the spaghetti sauce, the mushrooms, the salt, the garlic powder, the oregano, and the pepper and heat through.
- Spoon 1/2 of the mixture into a 5-quart slow cooker.
- Layer on 1/2 of the noodles, 1/2 of the pepperoni slices, 1/2 of the cheddar cheese, and 1/2 of the mozzarella cheese.
- Repeat the layers.
- Cover and cook on low until the cheese is melted, about 4-5 hours.
- Serve.
