Ingredients

  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil divided
  • 12 ounces kielbasa or sausage sliced
  • 1/4 cup salted butter
  • 1 large onion diced
  • 1/2 head cabbage chopped
  • 1 clove garlic minced
  • 2/3 cup frozen peas
  • salt to taste
  • ground black pepper to taste

Directions

  • Cook the egg noodles to al dente, according to the package directions.
  • Drain the noodles and set them aside.
  • In a large saucepan, heat 1 tablespoon of the olive oil over medium-high heat.
  • Add the sausage and cook until lightly browned, about 3-4 minutes.
  • Add the remaining olive oil, the butter, and the onion and cook until the onion is softened, about 5 minutes.
  • Add the cabbage and the garlic and cook until the cabbage is tender and the sausage is cooked through, about 10-15 minutes.
  • Stir in the peas, the noodles, the salt, and the pepper and cook until heated through, about 2-3 minutes.
