Deviled strawberries bring a playful twist to a picnic classic. You’ll find the sweet, juicy berries a welcome balance to the creamy, tangy filling that nestles inside. Vibrant and fresh, this whimsical dish feels like a burst of summer in every bite. It’s the perfect blend of rich and light, sweet and just a hint of tang, thanks to the optional splash of lemon juice.
Folks love the contrast of textures here. Creamy centers meet the slight crunch of graham cracker crumbs—a nod to those comforting, nostalgic cheesecake flavors. When you carefully fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture, you’ll notice how the filling becomes delightfully airy yet structured, providing a satisfying mouthfeel.
These strawberries are not just a treat for the taste buds; they’re a joy to share. Each little gem stands proudly, easy for guests of all ages to handle at gatherings. Whipping the cream to stiff peaks ensures the filling holds its shape beautifully, offering a neat and polished finish. Deviled strawberries might just become your go-to offering for sunny days and special occasions alike.

Ingredients

  • 18-24 large strawberries stems removed and halved
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese softened
  • 1/3 cup sour cream
  • 2/3 cup white granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice optional
  • 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs

Directions

  • Cut a small sliver off each of the halved strawberries so they are able to sit up.
  • Use a melon baller to carefully create a small indent in the middle of each strawberry.
  • In a mixing bowl, use a mixer to beat the whipping cream until stiff peaks form, about 5 minutes.
  • In a separate bowl, mix the cream cheese, the sour cream, the sugar, the vanilla extract, and the lemon juice with an electric mixture until smooth.
  • Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well incorporated.
  • Fill a piping bag with the cream cheese mixture and pipe a little dab into each of the sliced strawberries.
  • Sprinkle the filled strawberries with the graham cracker crumbs.
  • Serve.
